FINES DE LA FUNDACIÓN JOSEP GIBERT

De acuerdo con la trayectoria científica del Dr. Gibert, que dedicó su vida a la investigación  la formación y la divulgación científica, son fines de la Fundación Josep Gibert los siguientes:

  1. Difundir y promover la obra científica del Dr. Josep Gibert.
  2. Conservar, gestionar,  y desarrollar el patrimonio científico y la propiedad intelectual de Josep Gibert
  3. Continuar  la labor de investigación científica realizada por el Dr. Josep Gibert i Clols
  4. Promover, subvencionar, desarrollar o divulgar las actividades de investigación y formación centradas principalmente en la paleoantropología y evolución humana, así como en el estudio geológico, arqueológico y paleontológico.
  5. Promover el conocimiento, estudio y protección del patrimonio arqueológico, paleontológico, geológico y paleoantropológico de la región de Orce (Granada) y de  Cueva Victoria (Cartagena) en particular y de todas aquellas áreas nacionales e internacionales que sean susceptibles de contribuir a un mejor conocimiento de la evolución humana y su contexto paleoecológico.
  6. Promover el conocimiento y estudio de la historia y ética de la ciencia, a la que el Dr. Gibert siempre prestó su atención.
  7. Promover la formación de científicos mediante la convocatoria de premios, becas y ayudas para la formación e investigación; la cooperación con Universidades y centros de investigación a través de proyectos conjuntos; la organización y participación en eventos científicos, congresos, seminarios, conferencias y exposiciones; la edición de publicaciones; la financiación de proyectos científicos de Investigación y Desarrollo; la realización de actividades culturales y docentes, y cualquier otra conducente a la realización de aquellos fines que le son propios.
  8. Organizar la Biblioteca Josep Gibert, cuyos fondos iniciales serán los de la biblioteca científica del Dr. Gibert, que servirá para la formación y apoyo de los investigadores.
  9. Crear el Archivo Histórico Josep Gibert, con la digitalización de su obra científica, correspondencia, prensa, etc
  10. Promover la cooperación científica internacional
  11. Promover la difusión y divulgación de la ciencia así como todos los proyectos desarrollados o impulsados por la Fundación.
  12. Promover  y desarrollar cualquier área de investigación que el Patronato considere de interés particular para un mejor conocimiento de la evolución humana y su entorno paleoecológico.
     

Aims of the Josep Gibert Foundation

In accordance with the scientific career of Dr. José Gibert, who dedicated his life to research, to the training of young scientists and to the popularization of science, the objectives of the José Gibert Foundation are the following:

  1. To preserve and popularize the scientific work of Dr. José Gibert.
  2. To conserve, manage develop he scientific heritage and the intellectual property of José Gibert.
  3. To continue the research work of Dr. José Gibert
  4. To promote the knowledge and the study of the history and the ethics of Science, which always interested Dr. José Gibert.
  5. To organize the Library José Gibert, whose initial collection will be the scientific library of Dr. Gibert, and which will assist the training and the research of geologists, paleontologists and archaeologists.
  6. To create the Historical Files of José Gibert (to compile and order his publications, his correspondence, etc.)
  7. To promote, support, fund and popularize the research activities and scientific training  focused on the study of the geological, paleontological and archaeological record of the Neogene (Miocene to Pleistocene), and also on the origin and early evolution of mammals.
  8. To promote the study, the protection, and the knowledge of the archaeological, paleontological and geological patrimony of the region of Orce (Granada) and of the sites of Cueva Victoria and Cabezo Gordo (Murcia) in particular, and of all the national and international sites that might contribute to a better knowledge of the human evolution and its paleocological context.
  9. To promote cultural and teaching activities, training of young researchers by means of awards and funding; cooperation with universities and research centres through combined projects; organization and participation in scientific events such as congresses, meetings, work-shops, conferences and exhibitions; to fund and support research projects, and to promote and support any other activity which might help to develop the aims of the Foundation.
  10. To promote scientific cooperation between research groups at national and international levels.
  11. To promote the diffusion and popularization of science and of all activities developed and supported by the Foundation and their results.
  12. To promote and develop any research activity that the Foundation might consider of interest for a better knowledge of humanity and its evolution.
